Edith E. Lynn McCoy, OTD, OTR/L, CLT Occupational Therapist- Owner

Dr. Edith graduated from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences with a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy. She received a Bachelor’s in Health Science in Occupational Therapy with honors from the University of Florida. Prior to opening her private practice, she worked at the Gainesville VA Hospital and the University of Florida as an Adjunct Professor. She is a certified Lymphedema Therapist and certified in Vestibular Therapy from the American Institute of Balance.

She has extensive experience with orthopedics, hand injuries, cardio pulmonary, neuromuscular rehab, and home health care. Outside of running her practice, her family occupies most of her time. Edith loves to spend time with her 7 grandchildren.  Her professional goal is to never stop learning and adding new ideas to the clinic. 


Michelle Duenas, PT, DPT, ATC/LAT Physical Therapist

Michelle is a Florida native and has been in Palm Coast for over 24 years. She graduated from the University of North Florida in 2013 with her Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training and from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Michelle is certified in the Graston Technique and Concussion Rehabilitation and Tai Chi for Rehabilitation.

In Michelle’s spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and her daughter.   She enjoys boating on the Intercoastal and DIY projects at home. 


Bryan Mendes PT, DPT Physical Therapist

Bryan was born in Florida and has lived in Palm Coast for most of his life. He graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2014 with his B.S. in Health Sciences. Soon after graduating from UCF he attended Physical Therapist school at the University of St. Augustine for Health Science and graduated with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in December of 2016. Bryan has been with the PCSM team since July of this year. Bryan enjoys everything about being a PT but his areas of interest are treating musculoskeletal and sports-related injuries. He grew up playing and loving sports so this specific area of interest means a lot to him. In Bryan’s spare time he enjoys going to the gym, playing sports, relaxing by the pool or beach, playing with his dog, and spending time with friends and family.


Carey Tyner, MA CCC-SLP Speech Language Pathologist

Carey has been practicing speech pathology since 1999, and has been working for PCSM for over 9 years. She provides treatment in all areas of communicative disorders, including cognitive, language, speech, and voice disorders, as well as swallowing disorders. Carey has worked in a variety of settings, including schools, skilled nursing facilities, and home care in addition to her work as PCSM. She enjoys working with both children and adults.


Christa Horos, PTA Physical Therapist Assistant

Christa is a Physical Therapist Assistant who graduated from Daytona State College with an Associates of Science degree in 2010. Christa is originally from Upstate New York and relocated to Florida in 2005. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters and son. Christa has been a part of the Palm Coast Sports Medicine Team since 2012.


Emmy Westbery, Physical Therapy Tech

Emmy is a mother of 4 and grandmother of 1. She was born and raised in Ormond Beach, FL before moving to Palm Coast, where she has been for the last 8.5years. She has been working at Palm Coast Sports Medicine for the past 3 years. Emmy plans to attend Daytona State College and achieve her goal of becoming an Occupational Therapy Assistant. Some of Emmy’s hobbies include cooking, candle making, and watching scary movies.


Adam Hagely, CSCS Physical Therapy Tech

Originally from Ohio, Adam graduated from the University of Southern California with his degree in Exercise Science and now currently he is pursuing his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences.

For the last 18 years, he has been working as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist helping individuals achieve success with their health and fitness goals. In his free time, Adam enjoys numerous hobbies including physical fitness, projects around the house, cooking, gemstone collecting, and silversmithing.
